Winter Sheep at Itchenstoke

This little scene involved such an interplay of warm and cool colours – the snow had bestowed a cold overlay on the otherwise warm colours of the earth. The river was glassy ice, the sky heavy with the threat of more snow. Some areas had escaped it altogether, and the sheep, in their warm coats, had found and were gently chewing on, a patch of green grass whilst silently watching me.
