The dancers at Laban taught me about a ‘Bison Leap’ – a jump requiring huge and concentrated energy from the core of the body which snaps into a huge vertical jump from standing. In this painting I tried to convey the power and control that claims every muscle in the body, so that it seems to somehow split open the air it occupies.
This Painting is currently for sale with No Barking Art, as part of their fantastic WORLD WITHOUT END Exhibition initiative, set up to support over 50 international artists, including myself, during the Covid Lockdown
