Training Boat leaving Falmouth

This training boat made many appearances during our lovely week overlooking the harbour in Falmouth. It was lovely to see an old wooden boat with a gaff rig and tan sails – which reflected so wonderfully in the greens and blues of the water. The geometry of triangles, the little topsail catching the light as the sail caught the wind, the golden verticals of the honeyed wood of the mast, all help to suggest a structure that in turn moves comfortably through the elements in which it was built to be a part.
