White Anemones in a Ginger Jar

White anenomes are not white, they are a very exciting mix of lots of colours. In exploring all these colours I put them in a precious old ginger jar, whose faded indigo pattern would not compete with the flowers. However, a busy floral tablecloth underneath performed the same function – the repeat pattern and flat nature of the print underlined, by contrast, the sculptural volume of the white anenomes.
