I ordered these Cornish Sardines from the fish counter at Tesco as they are quite large and I wanted to paint them in my mother’s antique Limoges bowl . Unfortunately Tesco’s had sold them by mistake and I was upset because they were going to be a subject for my class – when they understood this they sent these Sardines by courier motorbike to my studio! One of the students who attended the class later bought the painting which hangs in her kitchen.
