I wrote and illustrated a book for children called ‘Ellie’s Growl’, published by Francis Lincoln, and inspired by listening to my daughter being read to by her brothers…This illustration explains why Ellie wanted to growl – it took many attempts to get it just right – scary enough to be exciting, but so scary as to give a three year old nightmares. I studied many live tigers before I felt able to do such a fabulous animal justice!
